📄 AIMA & documents

What are the common reasons for AIMA application rejection?

Greenlight editorial · Nov 30, -0001

Short answer: Missing apostille on civil docs, mismatched address, expired health insurance, or unclear subsistence proof.

Top rejections we see: (1) civil docs (birth, marriage) without Hague apostille plus sworn Portuguese translation, (2) accommodation contract too short (< 12 months) for D7/D8, (3) bank statements from a closed account, (4) health insurance ended before the appointment date. Greenlight's Visa Journey validates these in advance so you don't reach the appointment short.
